A peaceful country environment and quick access to nearby attractions. The charming owner was welcoming and provided helpful directions. The room was clean and good value for solo travelers or groups.
The curtains didn't block out the bright sunshine in the morning, causing an early wake-up. There was no comfortable seating area with a table, making it difficult to use a laptop.

Stayed 2 nights for the Great North Run. Lovely farm with friendly owners. Cosy, comfortable room. Greeted by friendly dogs. Met horses and Jenny the donkey. Easy access to Newcastle via metro. Plenty of parking. Close to coast for exploring. Will definitely stay again.
Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Holywell Grange Farm Villa for two nights to participate in the Great North Run. The spacious room comfortably accommodated our family of three, with plenty of storage and en suite facilities. Trish and John, the friendly hosts, showed us around their stables and introduced us to their horses and donkeys. The farm's resident dogs and cat added to the homely atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring Newcastle and the stunning stretches of beaches in north and south Tyneside. As an unexpected bonus, we witnessed the arrival of a new foal during our stay.

The location was excellent, offering both a peaceful country environment and easy access to nearby attractions such as Newcastle and Whitley Bay. It was also convenient for those traveling from the Port of Tyne. I appreciated the warm welcome from the owner and their helpfulness with directions. The room was nice and clean, providing good value for solo travelers or even groups of two or three.
The curtains in the room didn't block out the bright sunshine, leading to an early wake-up call. there wasn't a comfortable seating area with a table for using a laptop, so I had to make do with standing at the windowsill.

Excellent location in a peaceful countryside setting, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. The cozy and comfortable rooms were clean and well-maintained. Friendly owners and adorable animals added to the charm of the place. Plenty of public footpaths nearby for enjoyable walks. A great place for relaxation and unwinding.
The bright sunlight in the morning could be a bit of a disturbance for late sleepers. The lack of a comfortable seating area for laptop use was a minor inconvenience.

The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They even took the time to show us around the property and introduce us to their animals, which was a great bonus. The location was also perfect for us, as it was close to all the places we wanted to visit, including some beautiful stretches of beaches. Plus, the spacious room with comfy beds and en suite was perfect for our family of three.
While the property itself was great for a one-night stay, we did find it a bit difficult to locate. Despite following Google Maps, we had to rely on the owners' guidance over the phone to find the place.
